About the Sailboat
The SAGA is a 24-metre classic two-masted wooden schooner built in 1936, now lovingly maintained and operating private day charters out of Ibiza. With her tall masts, 240 m² of tan-bark sail area and timber deck, she carries the romance of the golden age of sail into the turquoise waters of the Balearics — a rare alternative to the modern fibreglass charter fleet, designed for guests who appreciate authenticity, character and the art of unhurried sailing.
Privately chartered for up to 35 guests, SAGA is perfect for milestone celebrations, family days, corporate events and weddings at sea. A first-class uniformed crew of five handles every detail from welcome Cava sangria on boarding to swim-stop logistics, leaving guests free to enjoy the wide teak deck, shaded social areas and authentic sailing experience under canvas whenever the wind allows.
Two charter formats are available: a 6-hour day charter (11:30–17:30) and an 8-hour day charter (11:30–19:30), with the option to extend the 8-hour charter by additional hours at a fixed rate. A typical itinerary combines anchoring stops along Ibiza’s south-east coast and Formentera — Salinas Natural Park, Es Vedrà and Es Vedranell from a distance, and Formentera’s white-sand sandbanks — with time aboard for swimming, snorkelling, paddle boarding and lunch served on deck.
Onboard catering is handled by SAGA’s own galley with a wide menu of paella variants (vegetarian, mixed, seafood, shell-free and lobster), BBQ, Spanish finger food and a full beverage list including wines, beers, soft drinks, Cava sangria and open-bar packages. Own food and drinks are not permitted on board; external catering can be arranged at a 30% supplement on the charter price.
Rates start at €3,900 inc-VAT for a 6-hour charter in the shoulder season (1 April–15 May and October), rising to €4,900 for 6 hours and €5,900 for 8 hours in peak season (15 May–30 September). Welcome Cava sangria, water, snorkels, paddle boards, fuel, uniformed crew and insurance are all included in the charter price — see conditions for the full pricing matrix and booking terms.
